I’m not sure I follow your logical jump. You seem to be stating that if we all simply listened to the greats, society would progress much faster.
At least, that’s what I read into it.
But don’t leaders need followers? For each great leader or thinker, we need thousands to consume. To discuss and understand.
If the magnificent (sarcasm) framers had had to deal with each citizen having their own idea of what the best course of action regarding shaping the Constitution, instead of them splitting the masses up into Federalists and Anti-Federalists, we’d never get anything done.
If everyone had their own ideas regarding political processes, we’d never make any concessions. Because there are so many followers, however, we’re able to break the populace up into two mindsets (Democrat and Republican) and make significant societal leaps.
You’ll notice the greats rarely agree with anyone but themselves.

Cloud and Tree is a collection of comics and, potentially, other things that I create and the name of one of the comics I used to draw. This page is the hub for information, updates, and random musings by me. Journals of Toast is my current active (and basically only) project, but full archives of Cloud and Tree will be made available eventually.

I choose not to comment. You’re way too smart for me. I just say you’re right and move on. Saves time that way.
